No stiffness!

I've been reflecting on my running journey whilst leisurely having a coffee and I've just realised I've not had any next day stiffness for some time. I had my longest run yesterday (6k) after 5 days off with illness and I expected to be stiff this morning but nothing. Then I realised I haven't had the stiffness for some time but can't remember when it stopped being a feature. Not bad for an old goat πŸπŸ˜‚ Does this mean my body is used to running?πŸ€”

Yes I’d say! πŸ˜€ It shows you’ve been running sensibly, and building up gradually.

Brilliant! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Brilliant news, you are obviously doing something very right, I'm really creaky 1st thing till I've reminded my joints of the difference between horizontal and vertical. 🀣 happy running πŸ€—

This is really good to hear! I think as CC has said, the way you've gone about things has really helped. Definitely it's experience too and seeing how our body feels when we run. I think it takes a while before it all comes together too. Stretching etc and the way we begin to find a rhythm and pattern to our runs. You are doing so well though. Keep on doing what you are doing and remember...there's more in you than you think!

I'm recovering for an injury and didn't run for 6 weeks. On my return to running, I noticed knee and calf stiffness, which I hadn't had for ages! O I think it's about regular runs and stretching.
