Slow running puncture

I started running back in October with the vague idea that as a 14stone9 smoker, it might help me lose a bit of weight and feel a bit more healthy. I quickly realised after that it wasn't really going to help much with the weight, but more importantly, I also realised pretty fast that I absolutely loved it for its own sake.

The other day, my other half mentioned I was possibly looking a bit slimmer, so I've just weighed myself and realised I've lost nearly a stone, meaning i'm just fat now ๐Ÿ˜‚! I'd actually forgetten why I started in the first place, but it's a pretty decent bonus - guess I've got a slow weight puncture ๐Ÿค”

Anyway, did my first 8k on Monday, which was unexpectedly enjoyable, followed by a 4k on Wed which was absolutely horrible. Just goes to show you never can predict these things. Heading out now for a 5k to round out week 4, and possibly some fish and chips and a beer to celebrate afterwards ๐Ÿ˜‚. Hope you've all had a good week!

Good run for you Leadfoot regarding your first 8K on Monday, you have to take the good with the bad regarding your 4K on Wednesday, enjoy your 5K and after the run you will enjoy your fish๐Ÿฆˆ n' chips๐ŸŸ

Been a lovely spring like day here where I live in Scotland as well, there are snowdrops showing in gardens now, the temperature got to 12c today, beware, winter is not over just yet, we probably will see snow, not snow drops within the next 4 weeks, nevertheless enjoy the mild weather while it lasts, good weather for running. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Cheers! Nice to have, but the running is the main thing i've got out of it i think. It still baffles me me that I enjoy it as much as I am at the moment.
