I started running back in October with the vague idea that as a 14stone9 smoker, it might help me lose a bit of weight and feel a bit more healthy. I quickly realised after that it wasn't really going to help much with the weight, but more importantly, I also realised pretty fast that I absolutely loved it for its own sake.
The other day, my other half mentioned I was possibly looking a bit slimmer, so I've just weighed myself and realised I've lost nearly a stone, meaning i'm just fat now ๐! I'd actually forgetten why I started in the first place, but it's a pretty decent bonus - guess I've got a slow weight puncture ๐ค
Anyway, did my first 8k on Monday, which was unexpectedly enjoyable, followed by a 4k on Wed which was absolutely horrible. Just goes to show you never can predict these things. Heading out now for a 5k to round out week 4, and possibly some fish and chips and a beer to celebrate afterwards ๐. Hope you've all had a good week!
