Been off for three weeks with suspected hamstring strain, but thought I’d get out there and give it a go this morning, as I hadn’t even been for a walk all week. Even put on my running trainers and thought I might see how a gentle jog worked out when I got somewhere fairly flat.
But no go, as soon as I started a very slow jog movement I could feel the pain again so had to revert to walking. Still I managed 4.5k but am not even going to mention how slow!
I am so annoyed - I was really getting to grips with doing 10k every fortnight and now it looks like I’m going to have to restart C25K all over again to get back up to that level.
And I need new shoes, but our local running shop has not yet reopened, I’m beginning to feel it is ordained I shan’t ever run again!

Try not to rush back to soon, although I know how frustrating it can be. You shouldn’t have to go right back to the beginning of c25k, depending how long you take to heal properly.
Really sorry to hear you're injured, and I know from personal experience how frustrating it is.
I know we are all different, but after 7 weeks on the IC my initial first few recovery return runs were 2 k and 2.5 K. I then very gradually built this up by about 500m increments and this week I have managed a few 5k's.
My injury was to the knee, and I tried to keep up some sort of fitness by doing stretching and strengthening exercises every day.
Really sorry to hear that. Being on the injury couch is no fun. It might speed your recovery if you can get an appointment with a sports physio. They will also be able to assess whether it is a strain or a tear. They are worth the cost. Good luck
