Return of the mojo

I haven't posted for ages now. My last post was about my struggles to cope with lockdown running. Everyone was lovely (as ever), but I just couldn't manage more than about 3.5k, even with all your encouragement. So I've been plodding along running three times a week, but today I thought I'd do something a little different. I don't usually run with music, just my app telling me the 0.5k marks and the sounds of nature around me. For a change I silenced the app and put my headphones on and just ran, listening to music. I made up the route as I went along and when I'd finished I found I'd run 5k and in a very good time for me, so I posted the time to (not) parkrun. Please let this be the return of my mojo!

Great to hear from you Archerygoddess that you have got your mojo back, new route as well as your favourite music and ran a 5K. 😊 🏃🏾 excellent

Good that you posted it to (not ) parkrun, I now have ran two (not ) parkruns as I think it probably won't be until next year that the officials runs will start again, at least in the UK, so the not parkruns I think will become very popular over the next few months. 😊 🏃🏾

Here's to more (not) parkruns! I ran my first parkrun in February then they were cancelled due to storm Ciara, then Dennis, then waterlogged ground and finally Covid. I was beginning to think I'd never get the chance to do another one

It is a guess when the official Parkruns will restart, they are still talking about social distancing staying for a while, everyone having to wear facemasks while travelling and probably shopping as well, if parkruns do start this year would all the runners want to wear a face mask when running, no, I very much doubt that the organisers would consider starting them again if that was the case.

Brilliant effort- I'm glad you found something that worked to get you past that 3.5k hurdle. Remember today's run next time those pesky gremlins are bothering you. Happy running 🤗
