Oh my days!!! It was too hot at 7.00am!! I had to get out and run though. I was going to run yesterday ( my birthday) but spent the day seeing various family members 1 at a time and receiving copious amounts of cake !!! I think they are trying to fatten me up!! Then I thought perhaps I’d wait till it cooled down and run last night but it never cooled down!!
So this morning I was up, fed the cats, gave Loki his meds and out the door. Decided to just run for 30 minutes and not worry about distance or speed. I’d woken with a painful coccyx. And the only reason I can think was I was sitting on wooden garden seats a lot yesterday. It didn’t stop me running although I could still feel it. I’m going to do a bit of Pilates and foam rollering later to see if that helps.
Well it was pretty warm even that time of morning but I managed my 30 minutes and decided to just call it a day there. Didn’t see many other people out - quite a few cars- but pretty peaceful really. And I’m glad I went. Walked back home and had breakfast and shower and then took my Loki back to the vets for his second dressing change. This is going to be a way of life for him for at least the next 2 weeks. The good news is that the skin is starting to close up a bit, where he lost some skin, and it’s healing nicely. He’s feeling confident enough to go up his cattree now and stood on his hind legs sharpening his claws on it for a while so he’s obviously not in so much pain now. The bad news is he has a PINK bandage!!! How rude!! Luckily he is in touch with his feminine side and is ignoring it.

Yeah he is just lying under my bed at the mo, while my 2 black girls and my dark tabby one are going from one patch to another trying to find a cool patch.

I had so much... 2 custard danish, 2 egg custard tarts, choc butterfly cakes, coffee cakes, lemon drizzle, salted galaxy caramel brownies..... I haven’t eaten them all myself !!!🤣🤣🤣
We had the black clouds at 5, then they cleared then we had a hour of rumbly thunder from 9-10, but if lightning but no rain.hoped for some overnight but no. Bit cooler this morning though
Happy Birthday Limberlou! Like your neck if the woods, it’s pretty hot here too. The humidity was 86 and I came back soaked right through. Not long till I get home hopefully, I’ll miss the great weather but not the humidity. Glad everyone is on the mend. X
Where do you go home to? My sister in law got stuck here when she lives in Spain. Was due to go home day after lockdown. Luckily she could live in her sons holiday home where they stay when she is over here.
We return to Scotland on Wednesday if all goes to plan. We’ve been in beautiful Portugal since January. We were meant to return home at the end of March, but flights were cancelled...several times. So we’ve been here a while. It’s been great. I’ll miss it but it’ll be great getting home for sure.
