My middle son is dying of boredom at home. As I laced up my shoes my husband suggested I ask him along. My best run ever! He was so sweet, visibly holding back to stay alongside his old Mum.
We ran around the botanical gardens, open for the first time since March.
I did a yoga class later and am now struggling with a sore back. I will walk today to try and ease the stiffness.

Oh how wonderful running with your son, and how lovely of him to hold back for you! ❤️ Beautiful scenery too. I bet you had fun. 😍
My son is an intermittent runner, but when he does he can fly (km splits in the low 4 minute/high 3 minute range), so it would be like a race horse running with a Shetland pony if we ran together! 😅
Hopefully you can do it again! Enjoy your yoga too - I’m a huge fan. 🧘♀️
How lovely and how thoughtful he is. I ran with.my daughter a few weeks ago but as she's just starting out she was focussed on her own run. I just told her to run at her own speed I couldn't keep up. Don't think I could do yoga and run on the same day🥴. Well done 👍
You sound like me. I’ve just been moaning to my daughter that I feel tired today and she said “ yes but your normal day is -run 5k, walk 10k, spend an hour in the garden weeding or digging, then an hours Pilates to “relax” and you are 66 Mother!!!!”
