Non stop rain here today so I thought I would try running 10 miles again.
I think I really like running in the rain, can't explain it I just do.
So I took the cycle path route , the exact same route I did my last 10 miler.
Came home soaked to the skin , clicked on the Garmin connect app and nothing. The run has saved to the watch no problem just won't upload anywhere else.
This has happened only once before on a 10k run but other than that its been fine.
Never mind I enjoyed the run anyway even if i can't look at the stats and map.
Happy running people 🏃♀️🏃♀️

Another great run up that cycle path for you in the rain ☔, sorry about the Garmin connect app not working, however, despite the ☔ rain you enjoyed your run in a very good time as well.
This morning I ran my 8th 10K in the rain, next week I will be running my 9th 10K on Thursday, not Wednesday as Thursday the 18th June will be exactly 2 years since I graduated from C25K.
I read a interesting article about Drumpelliier, you of course know Buchanan Street in Glasgow, all those news items about slaves, Buchanan Street is named after the tobacco barron Andrew Buchanan who had slaves working for him in America, his son James Buchanan of Drumpellier lived in a big mansion now gone somewhere in what is now Drumpellier Country Park, who knows where that mansion was but it might have been built where the start line is for Drumpelliier Parkrun, but no one really knows.
Thanks GTFC, I ran 10K but our friend Buddy34 ran another 10 miles, I think she is trying to run in June more than the 143 kilometers she ran in May, good luck to her for that.
Silly question but have you tried just turning off your Bluetooth then turning it back on again to see if that jiggles the wires somehow? Whenever I have issues Dexy5 always tells me that If it’s in the watch it should download eventually and it has worked for me on occasion. And I’m now trying to remember to check it’s connected before I set off. Just a thought from a technophobe!
Just contacted Garmin on live chat and they tried to help. They had told me to delete all activities on the garmin connect site on the laptop as maybe there wasn't enough room to save the run 😊
Great run for you today Buddy, love running in the rain also 🌧
As for the Garmin, a couple of times I've had it where I've not had the message to say the activity is ready to view but they've just appeared in the app at some point 🤷♀️ it's frustrating when technology doesn't work 🤬
Yes I did all this today and nothing worked. So I just did as advised and cleared all activities from garmin connect and the watch is now clear also. 😊😊
Budarooooooonie! You are on fire! Well done. Another 10 miler in the bag. I'm so chuffed for you. I love that you love running in the rain! Me too. I just got a 5km PB of 25.10 in the rain and I was actually too happy. Do you keep Strava too as a way or recording? By the way what a great time too! You are a right cracker.
Funny I thought about you when out running in the rain as you said you liked it. I do use strava but I use garmin to track runs then it automatically transfers over to strava. It's annoying when the tech doesn't work 🙄
Thank you. I keep my phone in a bum bag pouch type thing around my waist. I don't have Garmin but like what it does and one day I might get a watch.
Just think..
You doing 10 miles and HM's it's incredible really. You never would have thought you'd go that far but you deserve to because you kept going and kept consistent and what you've already achieved will never be taken away and in future years you'll look back with pride. All from running! 😊
Wow!! You are on fire!! I’ve had issues with Garmin lately and so have others ( on another thread) . I ended up dragging out my old laptop, firing up Garmin Express, and connecting my watch via the cable. ( This was because I had charged mine then when I unplugged it - at 11.15pm - it said 8.15 am and none of the buttons would work. I couldnt turn it off or scroll... nothing). It had also kept reverting to 12 hour clock instead of 24 for the last week.
So when I connected it to the laptop it switched itself off, did some update and back on and been fine ever since. I unfortunately have not. I last ran on Sunday evening and I intended to run on Tuesday but overslept and just felt “Meh”. Yawned all day and went to bed early. Slept like a log and woke up yesterday with a sore throat and streaming nose and still yawning. Did nothing yesterday and went to bed at 10. Slept right through till 8.30 this morning and sore throat is gone but no energy at all. Just going to leave the running till I feel a bit more like me.
As for the garmin, I have now cleared all activities as instructed. It annoyed me yesterday but today not as much. We just get so used to it working then it decides not to. 😊
