Anyone suffer with sciatica?

Hi everyone. I’ve just finished the final run on wk 2 of the magic plan (wahoo) but I was so close to stopping after just 2 minutes of running. I normally do the longer run on a Sunday but I’ve been so tired and sluggish this weekend I thought I’d put off until Monday. Then yesterday my legs were aching as if I’d been running, ha ha, so I gave it a miss. I have been suffering with sciatica down back of right leg for about a month but have just been able to put up with it and keep up the running. Tonight I felt like I could barely run to begin with so I’ve slowed my pace right down. Any tips would be appreciated. When I’ve googled it, advice seems to be that exercise is good for it. I really didn’t want to keep putting off the run as I’m afraid I’ll end up stopping altogether when I’ve come so far.

I run with a bad back and my only advice to you is to avoid running on hard surfaces as much as possible. Invest in a quality pair of shoes with good cushioning. Try not to run on the “bad” days and go easy on yourself.
