#MilesForMind - Job Done!

At the start of the month I set myself a #MilesForMind target of 75 miles. Having started my assault on that total on Saturday 2 May with a half marathon, twelve runs later, I completed the task tonight with a 5k in glorious sunshine to bring my total to 76.26 miles. It's not impossible that I might squeeze one more run in over the weekend to stretch my total further, but those will be bonus miles; the target I set myself has been achieved, and I'm feeling decidedly chuffed with myself.

To anyone reading this who still has to reach their own target, good luck over the next few days. Happy running and stay safe.

Thanks Alan. Time to relax and set myself a new goal for next month.

I am not sure what my goal is but I have mentioned before on this forum that I was thinking of running 10/10Ks, one every two weeks, I have already ran 6, after that if everything feels OK I might run 12K, 16K and 21K, I'll see how that goes.

When I started C25K just over two years ago my intention was to run 5K and no more, not even to go to a parkrun, however, with all the runners talking about parkruns, 10Ks etc I registered with Parkrun and I have now ran 17 of them and also 6/10Ks so who knows what distance I will run in the future. 😊 🏃🏾

Fantastic month of runs for you, well done, you must be delighted. Its lovely to lay down reminders of good things during lockdown . I'm hoping to reach my May target 120k tomorrow with a 8.3k run so almost as far as you. Then no more high targets for running as I want to enjoy cycling through the summer. Happy running 🤗

I'm waiting for my new bike to be ready (hopefully next week) so the next few months will see a bit less running and a lot more cycling while the days are warmer.
