Well this past week I've made two attempts to get my 5k time down to under 30 mins. Unfortunately both attempts failed, best was 4 seconds out, worst was 25 seconds out, I shall try again next week. This morning I thought I would finish my running week with more of a plod, left about 6.30 and did 10k. At that time of the morning there was hardly anybody about except near the finish of my run I encountered a pack of hounds from the local hunt being exercised. I must admit it was slightly worrying to see about forty or more dogs heading towards me down a narrow country lane but I passed them without incident I am pleased to say π . . . happy weekend and bank holiday running everybody πββοΈπββοΈ π
Distance rather than speed today . . . - Bridge to 10K

Well don orangeguy on both accountsπππNow for me if it were cows I would have probably froze on the spotπ³ not even daring to run past them π€£π€£so good for you.
Have a great bank holiday too!π€π€
I'm sure your sub 30 5k will come , you're so close. This mornings run sounded so peaceful and enjoyable until you met the dogs anyway π€£π. Enjoy the rest of your weekend π
Yikes 40 hounds. That would have got me a Pb in the opposite direction. Well done on your 10k run this morning. Hereβs to sub 30mins really soon. Happy running π€
The hounds seemed just to ignore me, mind you there four chaps on bikes with sticks keeping them under control thankfully π
That is still excellent, orangeguy. I tried for 5k in under40, and decided I was more comfortable with increasing duration, not pace. Iβll see how it all goes.
