I do like it when a pertinent song comes on, especially when the mix is one I didn't make myself but just nabbed off spotify, so I don't even know the song's on the way. This morning at the start of my run I got the Oysterband, first their song Native Son, which I liked for the line "I was born to tell the truth and RUN", followed by their song Flatland just as I was getting to the steepest bit. "... far as the eye can see it is level, dead level" - if only, I thought! But it was a bit funny.
Then I got the Levellers, yelling "What a beautiful day" right at the very moment I crested the hill and saw the sun rise. Not long afterwards, and as I was starting to get a bit tired, it was the Oysterband again, singing The Boy's Still Running, which buoyed me up rather (despite me not being a boy).
