I started this amazing C25K Programme 2 years ago today! It is a time to look back and see how far I have come.
Day 1 Post:
I’m absolutely thrilled with myself for starting this journey. I’ve spend my whole life saying I’m not a runner and now I’m saying “Oh yes, I am”. I’m feeling proud!! 🙌🏽 Wish me luck!!
Graduation Day & My Birthday Post! 14th July 2018!
I’ve found a willfullness to continue no matter the obstacles that have seemed to stack up over and over 💪🏽. I’ve laughed at them and myself (a lot) too😊! When I went running outside for the first time, I had palpitations! Seriously, my heart was racing out of sheer fear😖! I fumbled to set the app 📲 , looking for keys🔑 , getting the music going with the app simultaneously 📲 🎵. All while “just leave it for another time, you don’t need to do this” sounded in my head 🧟♀️! But, I’ve had some choice words for the mind over the past 9 weeks 🔨 ! I am doing it 🦾! And I’ve only gone and done it! 🎓 🏆
And The Bit Still Relevant Today & Everyday:
This forum and everyone on here, admin, mentors, graduates, runners at all stages have all given me so much support and encouragement 🥰🥰🥰! I cannot thank you all enough! I’ve done something I could once only dream of! 😆
And today I’m celebrating, with an intervals run, just like day 1, (only I’m a bit better at it now 😂) & I’m so happy, because I’m still doing it!! 🎉🥳 My running journey continues against all the odds that have come my way 🏃🏽♀️!! Thank you! Big hugs to you ALL!

Thanks so much Slinkymalinki!! 🤗 Today I went out running leggings and a simple t-shirt! Something akin to my Day 1 run, before I bought any proper running gear 😂! No fuss! I just thought that will do very nicely for today! 😁❤️

Since lockdown I've noticed a lot of new runners with mobile app active in one hand, stopping and starting running with ear buds or headphones on. Good luck to you all and I hope one day you too will be posting about your runniversary 😃👍
You are, just as your name suggests...fabulous!!! You’ve come such a long way in those 2 years and have had many things thrown in your path to hinder your progress but you have stepped on them, crushed them and carried on! You inspire so many people without even realising...and all while you’ve got so many other things to contend with...well done to you for your sheer determination and unstoppability...and a very happy runniversary to you Fab xxxx

Hi Symi!! Thank you so much! 🤗 Well...at the risk of sounding uncommitted, I haven’t got one🥴.
I found that, for me, the more requirements I added, if I didn’t stick to ‘the plan’ that made me feel bad. It was demotivating at times.
So, I asked myself what this was about for me? It’s something that I want to consider as being just what I do, as casually as eating and sleeping. I’m not training for anything specific. I’m sure I would do it slightly different for those circumstances.
But really....I’m just having fun, enjoying that I run, a quiet time for me, where I take time out and just go with the flow. It’s great to free up the mind too.
At the moment I’m going out a couple of times per week. Over the past 2 years, I’ve been out for 10 minute runs and 1 hour runs. (Not so many of the 1 hour ones, 😂)! I just scroll through my app and pick a guided run that fits the mood of the moment and I go!! There’s even a ‘don’t wanna run’ guided run on my app. And I’ve done that one too! 😂
And I’m not too hard on myself if I don’t. There’s always the comeback run waiting! ❤️
Hi Symi! 👋🏽 Yes, I do some exercises from YouTube in between my runs. It allows me to fit in some exercise every day. Mostly just the 7 minute HITT ones. It’s hard to say there’s no time to do it! 😂 I find it better for me to do the run or exercise first thing in the morning. So it’s all done and dusted and I feel more ready for the rest of the day to begin! ✅❤️
