After a disappointing run and a tough day on Monday and with better weather and my head in an altogether better place, I set out this morning for my second attempt at my virtual Cape Wrath 10k. Nike guided run and Spotify 155bpm playlist set up on the phone and the intention of a nice relaxed run. Took a slightly different route past the golf club (full car park this morning but social distancing appeared to be being complied with) and round the square that forms part of my 1 hour bike route. Back in 1.04.07. Much better π Now if only I could get a haircut (and take a decent selfie π) Happy running peeps πββοΈππ»ββοΈ

(Not the)Cape Wrath 10k - take 2!
Very respectable time; just nicely set up for your sub 60 soon. Mood does make a big difference.
Second run of comeback 2 for me this morning. 3k at 6:28. Feels ok but π€every inch of the way. I too need a haircut....and I never do selfies!!
Thatβs a pretty good pace when youβre easing your way back πππ» As we are doing a virtual Vitality 10000, I might just give it a go π€« No promises, mind you - I always go faster in a crowd; harder on my own!
I wonβt be ready for anything like a 10k by then unfortunately. I am just allowing the pace to set itself; whatever feels relaxed and comfortable. Pity, a virtual head to head might just have added the extra bit of oomph!!
I'm glad you got out for your virtual 10k and it went well.
As for the hair I'm with you on that I need a cut and colour . Have a great day πββοΈπ
ππ»ππ» You needed that run Sandie. Brilliant and fab pace. Hang in there. My hairdresser rang today ( theyβre all open again from tomorrow) and Joy I have an appointment on Tuesday. Iβve had to resort to wearing caps and beanies, but sadly resemble a bag lady! Was feeling so buoyant about the cut until my dentist rang and confirmed my appointment for Friday. Never thought I would be so happy to go to the dentist.
A brilliant run Sandie - what a difference a day (or 2) makes. It looks just as breezy there as here. What an excellent time too. You should be very proud of that.
Iβm with you on the hairdresser front, but when we get there we might even go for something completely different.
Superb!! Love this. You went out there and did it. Super time too. Were you hot in the jacket?
Fantastic run with a great time, I knew you'd finish ahead of me. Im on the verge of attacking my hair for the 2nd time during lockdown. Happy running π€
Great going, well done on an excellent run.
I have had two hair cuts since lockdown from my other half.
I have offered to return the favour, but she (understandably) prefers to await the re-opening of her salon.
Happy running.
Fab run Sandie πββοΈπ and a great time too. I donβt do good selfies either, thereβs clearly a knack to it and I havenβt got it! Iβm quite liking my longer length hair atm, Iβve actually got a proper swishy pony-tail now π always wanted one of those.
Best trick for selfies is to get the camera lens above eye level height πππ
Iβll have to try that next time, but donβt you look a bit silly waving your arms in the air π
Itβs a lovely selfie Sandie! Glad you were able to complete your run this time out!
A brilliant run Sandie and a great time. ππΎπ₯
I know what you mean about the haircut, I think I'd even be willing to take the day off work if it meant I could get an appointment sooner but who knows when they will be allowed to reopen βΉοΈ Ah well, the messed up beach look is still 'in' isn't it?! π€π±
As for the selfie, I've never taken one as I know I'd look awful, the main thing I use my phone camera for is pictures of the nieces and nephews or my cats ππ
Keep going and happy running ππ₯³πββοΈπββοΈ
Brilliant run! I made a decision, this weekend I'm getting a haircut, DIY, who knows what will happen, but by the time I can go to a hairdresser it will be long again...
