After struggling in recent weeks and plenty of stretches and exercises I managed a 10k PB at 54.01. It was tough but I kept going because I know I can rest now! Thanks everyone for your continued support.

Absolutely awesome 👏🏻 💪

What a great time for a 10k , I know you’ve been struggling of late with knee probs so this makes it an even more awesome achievement.

Congratulations 🍾🎉👏🏻🍾👏🏻🍾🎉

Let the celebrations begin.

Blimey !! That’s a good time. I’m envious.... never managed to get below 82 mins!!!! And that’s when I was running 10ks regularly. Maybe this summer I’ll knock some time off it.

in reply to limberlou

You will for sure! At 46 I'm pleased really but I don't aim for them so often. When you do knock some time off I'll be here congratulating you 😊

in reply to limberlou

And if I'm anywhere near your times when I get the same age then I'll be absolutely buzzing!

WOW, that is an amazing time and I think for me, something I can only dream of, although I have only done that distance twice now so I suppose there is time to improve.

Like Martin says, it's even more impressive with your recent knee troubles so huge well done 🎉🎉🎉

Definitely time to celebrate now 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🍾🥂🥳🎊🎉🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️

Well done!

How're your knees feeling? No problems I hope. I'm just running 30'ish minutes now. Perhaps I'll build it up a little at a time - my consolidation runs all over again although I don't think I did as many of them as I should have. Hmmm......

They are certainly improving. Still the odd ache but every day I foam roll and stretch two or three times so for a few weeks I'll keep 10k and under then look to build from there. I'll take it with a cautiously optimistic approach.

30 mins is great, it's a good amount of running. Just add 10% or so on each week. That's what I'll do now. I'm going to do around 15 miles a week then 16.5 etc up to 20-25 miles. I'll be happy with that.

The 10% thing sounds like a good idea. I think I'll give that a try. I'll let you know how I get on!

Congrats and very well done on a great pace for 10K. You were about 3 mins faster than my PB time for 10K. Great running.
