And this is why I love running!

Still on my own schedule, after some procrastinating I got myself out of the door today, just for a repeat of my 4x 6 minute run program as I build up. Today, for the first time since lockdown - in fact for longer than that because the path was too uneven for my injured foot - I ran part of my route along the canal path.

Total joy to be running there even for just ten minutes. It was deserted apart from a couple of moored boats, one other runner and two ducks. Bliss!

I keep going for precisely 6 minutes at the moment BC! It's an ongoing battle but today was a good day. I had to fight the urge to keep on running, but I know that would be asking for trouble. Patience by the bucket load is what we need.

Apart from the walking breaks it felt almost normal, Jill. How's it going with you?

I’m ready to get back out but there are far too many people on the trails for my liking so I’m exercising at home for the time being. Looking forward to getting back out there once things are back to something like normal 🏃‍♀️

It's tricky isn't it! The canal path was really busy at the start of lockdown, so I stayed well away. Sounds like you're being resourceful 😊

Great photo. Keep safe but glad to see you building up again. It’s just getting out on days like this that make it all worthwhile!

Thank you Sybil. I have to say, I take no chances, and practically throw myself into the hedge to keep my distance 😁

Lovely to hear you are finding the joy GoG, and building slowly is the key.🏃‍♀️🗝

(I believe my foot problem was caused by a ten minute treadmill run before I had the strength through my newly mended achillies tendon.)

Happy running🌷xxx

Really doesn't take much to do the damage, but a lot longer to put it right as we are both very aware! fingers crossed we are both on the right track now x

It is lovely ogr. I won't make a habit of it and I'll stick to the quiet stretches but so nice.
