My revelation last week was that the local pavements are quieter than the tracks I prefer so my routes have changed for my last few outings. That has resulted in longer runs (surprisingly) and crossing more roads (obviously!) - one main reason I avoided those runs. Am I alone in finding drivers are now very willing to slow down to let you cross? I feel guilty as they obviously think I’m speedier than I actually am 😆 but maybe it’s another sign of us being more considerate in the current crisis. Most runs though I listen to the podcast ‘No such thing as a fish’ which provides all sorts of useless - and usually funny/rude - facts. Today’s favourite is that the second biggest purchaser of explosives in the USA is . . . . . Disney!! Happy running and keep safe.

I too have moved away from busy trails to pavement and road running. I'm finding the majority of cars slow down for me while running on roadside and give a wide berth - I always wave thanks just as they start to move to show appreciated. Long may this last. Happy running 🤗
Manners never go out of style! I raced across the road in front of a tractor the other day (a race even I was odds on to win!!) and when I waved a thanks I got a toot - made my day! I do feel everyone is more tolerant and courteous recently. I hope it continues 🤞🏻 #lookingforthepositive Any news on your move?
Hello Sybilw, I've alway run on pavements so yes I have noticed a lot more drivers letting me cross the road. Hope it continues 😊🤞
Sounds like you’re having great runs Sybilw!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🤩 And bringing in the laughter too....that’s perfect! Well done you!! 🤗🤗❤️
