Enjoying my running

Been running early morning every other day. Simply enjoy seeing mist of the fields & lots of sky on outward journey down to the river & the sun rise on return journey. Every time there’s something different to see & sets me up for my home working day. Indulge in the local woodland run at weekends when there’s time to relax. Loving the bluebells, Early Purple Orchids & of course the ever present welcome company of my dog. Happy running peeps 👍😊

Sounds fantastic - I’m missing the bluebells this year - too many people in our woods who let dogs chase you then chase right up to you themselves to grab them 😢 I hope you are coping well with home working, the run should certainly set you up for the day. Happy running 🤗

Fortunate to be able to work from home. Was driving 500miles a week. Since lockdown only driven 75miles in last 6weeks to & from local shops. Hoping to make this a permanent arrangement after the big return to normality. Depending on time of day, local woodland devoid of people. Sometimes have entire woodland to myself. Dog runs near me but a gentle command or click of the fingers brings him to my side. Sorry to hear you’re missing out on the bluebells as they are one of the wonders of our stunning countryside. Enjoy your running 👍😊

I guess a lot of people and companies will be looking into home working - so much better for work/live balance, environment and probably also the economy in the long run. Think of all that money you are saving on fuel. My car will be out for its 3rd trip to supermarket tomorrow so that will be a total 15 miles, hubby's car not moved. Quite liking this slower pace of life.

Running should be enjoyed, don't think I would have said that in the early days of c25k🤣 and as you say it really sets you up for the day. Have a nice day🌞

Thanks Buddy34, definitely enjoying my running. Took awhile to settle into my new lockdown routine but my running really helped. My son & I leave home at 5.45am & stay with each other during the warm up but separate our running. He prefers to sprint for shorter distance whereas I enjoy the longer distance running to the river & back. Have a great Sunday 👍😊

Sounds perfect, I missed the orchids this year but saw plenty of bluebells, are you still working from home? or have you gone back yet?

Thankfully still working from home, Dining Room has become my new office. Used to drive 500miles a week but now reduced to 50. Work more efficiently & effectively but took awhile to adjust to the different social interactions of friends & family. Have more contact with my siblings & their kids & partners as we all participate in a monthly family quiz. How about yourselves, do you have opportunities to work from home or are you still working your long hours at the factory?

Factory? I work in a home full of people, the managers have shared work out and so have had one day most weeks to catch up on emails and make plans but to be honest work is the most normal place through this apart from our masks visors and overalls, we still get hugs from people, the weirdest was in the beginning when i was walking to work and the roads and paths were empty

Yes I also enjoyed the quiet, the tranquility & the stillness. It sounds like you are one of the key workers we’ve all been applauding & cheering the last few months. If you are then huge thanks & respect. Fantastic job under very difficult conditions.
