Ticked off a 2020 goal πŸ˜€

I managed to tick off a goal I had for 2020 and that was to run 5k in under 30mins, which I did this morning.

I can’t quite believe it. 29min. I’m over the moon. I really wanted to do it this year on my way to my other goal of running 10k.

It was a bit off the training run I supposed to do (a 5k easy run) but I’ll take another rest day to make up for it.

Very happy πŸ˜€

Congratulations! That first sub-30 5k is very special - sounds like you really smashed it!πŸ’ͺ

I think we often find those shorter PB's tumbling when we build up our distance. Well done again and good luck on your way to 10k.πŸ™‚

But you will be amazed at what you eventually do achieve. How far through your 10k journey are you?

I’m in a Garmin training plan, week 10 of a 17 week plan. Not to aggressive a goal. I’ve done a few 8ks so far. I want it to be a repeatable goal and not just a one off. Taking it easy and avoiding injury is my goal.

That's brilliant, well done BR, fab time πŸ‘

I had 3 running related goals for this year...2 I've done but a sub-30 5K is yet to be achieved! Luckily there are plenty of months left to try πŸ‘

Its a great milestone to achieve. Well done!

Good luck with the sub hour 10k. Some get there quite easily. It took me the best part of a year after doing my first 10k to then go sub 1 hour but I didn't run with a plan.

Have a specific time target 10k plan to improve your chances of success.

That said, enjoy your current achievement and keep smiling. Staying happy, safe, and well is just as important!
