But today, it was all about running my favourite route - on the local bridleways, farm roads and woodland paths that meander around fields of sheep and the beautiful Surrey countryside.
I am happy to report, Irishprincess , that the bluebells are indeed starting to flower and it really was great to be back pounding the paths I know and love so well.π Definately quieter for having gone a little earlier too! π
I also found, like others on here, that those who I did pass were polite and friendly and thanked me for moving out to pass them - 'enjoy your run' said one lady!
I have been keeping my distance down a little lately and trying to work on strength and flexibility to see if this helps stabilise my slightly niggly knee! I have been loving 'Yoga with Adrienne' and am also using a fitness app discovered by my teenage son.
My other son has also taken to running regularly (having discovered the gym at Uni!) and I think we now have a third runner in the house! π Yesterday he completed his first 7k run on the trails - the route I ran today! I have to say he ran his significantly quicker than me but hey, that's youth for you! π€·ββοΈπ€£
Happy running everyone - if and when you can. Stay safe and keep looking for the rainbows...ππx

Thanks Sandraj39 sounds like a lovely run!πββοΈ Glad to hear people are maintaining distance and being courteous, Iβm finding that down in Bognor tooππ
Itβs great to be able to get out and enjoy nature and the sunshine while we canππ
Take care everyone, stay safe and look after yourselves and your loved onesππ
They are David - on one of my other routes there is a small alleyway that leads on to our recreation ground. We all seem to now be waiting and giving way to whoever is coming in the opposite direction! All very polite and thankful here! Glad it's the same for you too - makes you smile doesn't it! Take care.π
Great post Sandra. Despite everything your running seems to have hit a sweet spot, and family being involved adds another dimension. Just keep your roll going ππ
Thanks Beachcomber, I need my running for mental wellbeing more than ever at the moment! I feel so lucky to be able to run!π
That's a nice run Sandra π a run should be a happy place away from everything else around us (especially now) like yourself I've a teenager in the house that seemingly has caught that running thingy-bug (non life threatening but extremely addictive π₯°)
How wonderful! A run full of lightness and joy and appreciation, just what's needed right now π. You'll be able to enter a family relay team soon π
Ha ha! πππ½ββοΈππ»ππ»π Me and the eldest are going to run the Parkrun course together at the weekend! He's even talking about getting a Garmin! Bliss!ππ€£
A lovely run Sandraj39. My sister has just sent me a pic of her bluebell woods and says they are at their peak now. I miss getting out into the country but Iβll look at the invasive Spanish bluebells in my garden and pretend.
Good news on your elder son - I guess heβd have more influence on younger son than you. π
What a gorgeous photo Sandra! And what a fab sounding run too, Iβm glad the bluebells are out in your area as well, weβre so lucky to be able to enjoy them. I guess there are people who have never, ever seen a bluebell βΉοΈ
And youβve got a real family team going there! Well done everyone. Perhaps when this is over you could all enter a race..... xxx
Thank you! It would be great to all run together one day (by which I mean -my son somewhere ahead, OH in the middle and me at the rear!!π€£) . At least I'll have the support at the finish line!π€£π€£
Love the rainbow π π Glad you enjoyed a run on a favourite route, which sounds delightful. It is nice to have another runner in the family who βunderstandsβ π My hubby is running regularly now after completing Couch to 5k last year. The dog is getting very fit running with us 6x a weekπΆπΎ (we are both trying to run 3x a week)! Happy running π
