-No not that sort of first. After wimping out of doing a parkrun in yesterday's gales, I took myself out along a local bridleway that drops down to a main road, across that, along a little lane to the canal towpath. As I was running down the lane, a 4x4 came towards me. And then-gasp- the driver STOPPED NEXT TO A PASSING PLACE so I could run past! I think he must have been one of us, so if he is reading this, thank you sir, you are a scholar and a gentleman! π The section along the towpath was uneventful, but I was in a considerably better mood, and I was a much more conventional colour than after my 7k π Btw, autocorrect would like to turn towpath into too-ry-ay,I was tempted to leave it π
A cheeky 5k and a first-?: -No not that sort... - Bridge to 10K
A cheeky 5k and a first-?
Congratulations, good run for you today, nice the driver letting you pass in the lane.
I love my too-ry-ay runs π. Iβve been cheering on runners whoβve been passing me while Iβve been polishing the boat (2.5 days it took!) How lovely of the 4x4! Glad you had a good run πββοΈ
I passed a canal boat that was flying the Jolly Roger, anything to do with you, baddie? Can't help thinking that all my canal runs will be along the too-ry-ay in my head from now on π
The only thing missing from my running life is a canal or river to run by. I think they are magical places; the flowing water and the wildlife.
I noticed a Jolly Roger flying from a neighbour's garden this week and immediately thought of BTP...they are spreading! More pirates around than in an episode of Black Sails! β οΈ
Time to practise our yo-ho-ho technique, then we can all join in!
Arenβt you getting confused with Santa?
I'll settle for the bottle of rum!
I'm having to be a t-total pirate due to meds. Can you believe it! And I love spiced rum tooπ
A pirate who can't swig rum....not sure how that works? I have been TT because of meds for over two years. I never was a heavy drinker, but partial to a nice Rioja and Hendricks G&T. Truth is I now sleep like a log and am much fitter, so blessing in heavy disguise. Not sure how it will work at our youngest' wedding coming up in May though!!πΎπΎπ₯π₯
Doesn't really go with the image does it! Age is forcing me to moderate my drinking habits. Rum gives me a headache, but giving up the Hendricks, ooh that's too tough! The wedding now, well I'll leave you to sort that one out for yourself, beachcomber!
Must be because your autocorrect is a fan of Dexy's Midnight Runners! π
How fab was that driver??? Sounds a like a great run GOG.
