Good morning - a breath of fresh air

My running is definitely different at the moment. To make sure kids are active and getting out for a decent daily activity I have both of them doing C25K but as they won't run together (mostly 17 year old daughter won't run with 13 year old brother 😁) I only get one day a week to run on my own. My usual routes in the spring aren't safe for me to run at the moment (issues are various and too dull to go into) but this morning I took myself off over the ridgeway just to get off the roads. Normally covered in pet owners but I have discovered not at 7.00am in lockdown. Glorious view of the city and then a good steep hill to end my run. Took this picture as the birds sang and I watched the rabbits and the odd deer. I so look forward to getting back to fitness and my long runs out in the countryside proper but for now the odd day like this will do. Have a good week everyone.

It brought a proper smile to my face this morning and lovely to run it on my own.

😊Such a joy to be a runner whatever the circumstances and irrespective of time, distance or ability. 🏃‍♀️🥰

Oh I agree. When I have those days where I don't fancy it I remind myself how I felt before I took up running and it makes me get off my backside and get out there.

Oh gorgeous. I have walked various parts of it in the past - looks a fabulous run spot. I would need to do serious hill training, though, compared to my New Forest haunts. Happy running.

It is lovely and other than one hill nemesis most of them aren't too bad once you get going (and learn how to take the easiest route 😅). I do love running in the New Forest though.

I will be SO glad to get back to it. Currently only running vicariously as Mr GS is poorly and I don’t feel safe leaving him. (Not C-19, thank goodness.)

Great run and great photo. Well done for juggling your runs around the children’s, and for getting them running. 🤗

The interesting thing is how hard stopping and starting is on C25k, it feels more of a work out than some of my longer runs.

😂😂 strange that, I feel the same, I’m out for a run, I want to run, don’t make me slow down and cross the road a stand aside for social distancing 🤣🤣
