Plodding on.

I’m running more during lockdown as no grandchildren to look after so today I decided to go for my second 10k. Same route as last time (November) and guess what - 20 seconds difference. 😯 in fact not too much removed from my 5k pace!! One thing I do notice though is that my breathing is under control and surprisingly my heart rate never got into the red so obviously my comfortable speed/amble. Happy with all that coming up to the two year start of my C25K journey at the end of the week. Wonder what my pace was on those first few 1 minute struggles? 🤣 To every starter - it IS possible!!

Love this post! And you are right. A good consistent pace feels great at the end. Well done for keeping going and of course, Happy Anniversary soon.

Thank you. Just looked and my pace today was 7.44 and my 5k last Friday was 7.21. As I said - plodder!! 😆.

Sounds like a great 10k Sybilw. Any run at the moment is a bonus, as it’s so good for mental and physical wellbeing. Happy 2nd runniversary to you. 🏃‍♀️ 👏🏻👏🏻

Thank you Dexy. It was strange to have the times so similar but at least I must be fitter based on heart rate. Maybe because I can now get out more regularly.
