CHOO CHOO TRAIN (ME) CHUGGING DOWN THE TRACK....

This morning I was a little nervous as it was my 55 minute Magic run week 6. My daughter and her boyfriend were going to run 5k for the NHS so we decided on a run along the old railway track. I came downstairs at 8.30 ready to go only to discover it was a dreich ol' morning. We set off up the hill making our way to the beginning of the line. It was cold and miserable to be frank. Stony, puddles, muddy and windy. My company turned after 15 minutes and I after 20 minutes because a pesky farmer had fenced off the track! My pace was all over the place so I put a podcast on to concentrate on something - it worked! Unfortunately my timer hadn't 😩 Never mind I'll use the Strava timer as my trusty guide except that after 50 minutes it had paused ! 😡 Must've happened when I put my phone back in my belt. I restarted it and continued on my way for another 6 minutes- the extra minute to make up for all the gates I had to open and close. I'm not really sure how long I'd run for after the botched timing fiasco - I really must surf the net to investigate a watch 🤔 Hard run underfoot but as ever enjoyable because I did it!

That photograph does show a very muddy place for you to run, nevertheless well done on completing your run today despite the weather and your watch stopping.

We've had a bit of rain! I walked this route with the dog last week - it wasn't this bad 🙄

We’re basking in sunshine and you’re having to squelch along in all that mud 59er! What a contrast! Sorry all the tech failed you, better luck next time out!

That's what our weather looked like this morning 59er. Then nice and sunny this afternoon.

Great you got out to run and it looks quite muddy.

Yes I think it's time to treat yourself to a nice running watch 😊😊
