Slow “parkrun” for me today

Someone somewhere suggested giving our average time for parkrun to do something good this morning. So I took shopping lists from the workers at the care home who were struggling to shop. Hit the first supermarket at 7:30 and as expected it was packed and things were out of stock. 5 supermarkets later and I’m done... cup or tea and then a nice stress burning run I think!

Next week I’ll think of something quicker...

Don’t see me ever doing a 3 hour parkrun 🤣

Just come back from a 5K "virtual parkrun " ran locally around a course near to where I live, my run time this morning was 33.21. that compares with 33.58 at last weeks actual parkrun, not sure when the proper parkruns will restart, no one knows, that 5K this morning adds another 5 Kilometres to my total for the Vitality World Running Cup.

They’re saying “months” rather than weeks. Gonna go for a 5k soon, no way I’ll be doing it in a faster time than you today that’s a good time Al.

Good on you for doing such a kind thing!! 🤩 You don’t mind for yourself, but it’s such a shame when it’s so hard to get the simple things they need and you know they’re doing the right thing helping those who need to stay safe and well indoors. ❤️

Working 12 hours a day, 4/5 days a week, most with kids to look after too... least I could do really.

Fantastic thing to do, well done. We are shopping for each other on the road that we live on, as we have quite a few elderly folks/self isolating for health reasons. Every little helps in these times doesn't it.

Wonderful effort there shopping for others. I was freaking out in supermarket yesterday with everyone around me. Lucky though as Aldi had everything bar flour and yeast. Hope you had a good run.🤗

That’s what I don’t get with the pasta aisle... flour, eggs... done! Doesn’t take long and tastes better too, just like homemade bread does.

I agree, we make our own bread so our current normal stock of flour will be used sparingly. Yum 🤗

Lots of people helping us need us to help them when we can I think... I’m gonna try to spend all my parkrun time doing that.
