1) I ran for 60 mins tonight!! That’s an hour! An actual hour.⏱⏱⏱
2) I ran 8.5 k tonight! My longest til now has been 6.7k.
A new route, from my house to a village where hubby would pick me up. There’s a long downhill section going into the village so I just kept going, kept slow and bam! As usual, first ten minutes horrible then settled into it. Couldn’t wait to get typing on here, I’m still rather hyper just as I feel so pleased with myself. 😊😊😊

Aw, thank you,Strongfuse. Can’t actually believe it. Never thought I’d be able to run for the hour. I think it helped that I was running to something, not in a loop or double-backing. Heading straight to the village seemed easier and knowing that was my end point. Not sure if that makes sense!
Funny, I was thinking about you earlier as I remembered you had posted that before. I am tired now and my legs are very tired but it’s ok as it’s bedtime. But for me to feel like this during the day would be awful - don’t reckon that would work well with running after the children and the housework!
Great run, fantastic time, wonderful distance . It's just so great to be celebrating fitness and health during a time when all the news is bad health. Happy running 🤗
Oh thank you! Can’t believe it. I love reading other folk doing milestone runs and never thought it would/could be me. I just wanted to complete the C25K and stick with 30 mins. It’s just so lovely to have another wee achievement to yourself. How’s baby doing?
Great statement. That’s why I started - the thought of simply going out the front door for a bit of exercise when you had 30 minutes spare. No fees, no set time etc. And yes, a programme and a forum that makes it possible.
Thank you, Alan. It’s so fantastic to do something that makes you feel chuffed with yourself. But no more upwards for me for a while, need to consolidate around the 6-7k mark for a while.
Yep - sitting here with a huge cup ot tea and wait-for-it.... not just a 2 stick kitkat, a 4 stick kitkat!! 🥳🥳 I see you recently achieved 10 and 12k. That is fantastic. Well done on your progress!
Buddy, thank you. Can’t believe I have just done that! Does this sound silly but I think I might wait before I ‘allow’ myself the 60 minute badge. In the C25K you had to run 30mins three times in the last week. I’m going to consolidate around 6-7 k for a while, and aim for 2 more 60 minutes runs and then claim my prize. Does that make sense? Just a wee incentive for me to build up and sustain the longer distances.
Route good for the downhills but a few wee dips in the road which makes it a bit worrying about oncoming traffic. So not sure I’ll do again. But, hubby yes, he’s fab - thankfully. Now, you know I’m going to ask you - that wee 10 second thing.... you doing??? 😉
🙈Sadly not & haven’t run either since Monday. Down with a virus causing nausea & vertigo but getting there slowly!! Hope to start running on Monday & perhaps put some effort into that planking too!! (No promises on the latter 🙂🙃🙂😂)
There are some exercises on the web that help a lot - I had the inner ear thing, I was throwing up because it was like sea sickness, but the ENT gave me some exercises to do and they really help
Oh wow congratulations!!! 60 minutes running - I can’t wait until I can say that - only just started week 2 of 5-10K. Well done! I was happy with being able to run for 30 minutes but now I need something else to aim for
Since graduating C25K, I always aim for 30 minutes. But I found that quite naturally, some runs, I tell myself to try another five minutes and maybe another five minutes or one more small loop, or one more street. It’s funny, when I know it’s ‘extra’ running, it’s always so much easier than the first 30 mins!!
