New Year's day I resolved to aim to run 5K in under 30 minutes, 10K in under 60 minutes, and to run 10K three times a week, regularly.
Today I ran 10K in under 60 minutes for the first time, in 58:57, passing 5K along the way in 29 minutes, and I have been running 10K three times a week for a couple of weeks now - which I need to keep up!
Had it not been for this forum I think I would have given up running when I hurt my knee in November so thank you again to the many people who supported me at that time, and throughout my running journey since I began C25K six months ago.

Same down here. Perfect running weather for the "well padded" like me. Decided I had to try get a sub 60 10K in before the weather starts warming up! 🤣
Still very much Scotland just no hills unless I drive or run 3k to get to the bottom of them. Already have my sights on the hill that was my playground as a child - 20 min drive away, but can pop in to see elderly parents at the same time. Next week though will be country roads and beach runs 🥰
Congratulations on your 10K and on the way to that your PB 5K as well, that run is your very best ever, to many people a sub 30 minute 5k or sub 60 minutes 10K is a dream so to you ForbiddenPlanet, that dream has come true, now go and celebrate. 😊
Thank you AlMorr. It is kind of a dream come true for me, as for years I had wistfully watched runners gliding past me, as I thought running was beyond me - until I began C25K!
