VRWC Is the leaderboard correct?

I was just wondering if the leaderboard is correct.....UK are showing in third place, but it appears that the issue of duplicate tracked runs are still added together. I know they’ve said they’re working on it, but my run from Friday is still showing as double the distance in the team stats......🧐

I would imagine that if they have this issue that it is not necessarily a UK specific issue! Don't worry about it, that is their job!

Really doubting anything is correct Wenderwoo my last run of 9th hasn’t shown up yet and in NZ we are 13 hours ahead, so I gave it 24 hours and then uploaded my screenshot over 12 hours ago, still nothing. I’m off for another run tomorrow morning and have fingers crossed they’ll sort it. In the meantime go us HU 🇬🇧

Click on the 3 lines at the top right hand corner

Then click on teams

Then you will see health unlocked team

Then click on members and scroll down

Think I might be the other Pete - managed to log a run on Friday and it appeared within minutes. But my Sunday run not showing up at all yet. They told me the problem should be fixed but Strava is feeding runs through very slowly. Not sure if I can get out for a run this evening but if I do I might see if I can use a different tracker!

I have done 3 runs so far tracked with Strava. None are showing. I have manually reported 1 3 days ago and still nothing. Have just reported all 3 again just now so fingers crossed. Really frustrating but not surprising I guess. Tech is great (when it works) 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

I de authorised mapmyrun yesterday and it corrected the duplicate issue. But then I logged in again later and I had gone back up to double distance again! So I would guess it's all wildly inaccurate at the moment.

Yes if you have more than one tracker logged it’s taking from each of them.....clearly a flaw they hadn’t considered. It’s really odd as I have vitality insurance and get points for exercise and it is clever enough to only use the best effort from multiple devices. Looks like they need to get the developers speaking to each other!!

I think they removed them as they had doubled up but now they aren’t picking up automatically so I’m having to manually screenshot and send each run, I’ll see what happens after running this afternoon

Ok Pete log in to VRWC . Then go to my runs. Above my runs is teams. Click on that and you should find HU running team and click on members.

I had to upload that one manually yesterday, it’s taken 24hrs to go in, in the meantime they deleted Fridays run so I’ve just uploaded it manually. When I go into my runs none show. I’m running again this afternoon in the rain and wind so I think I may just manually upload that run too. What a pain 😖

I'm being told pretty much to just keep uploading runs manually after 24 hrs. I have little faith in the a curacy of any recorded runs. This must be a massive problem for them.

Still wrong I did 8k on Friday and 10.7 on Sunday, it only has sunday recorded. They are onto it though. I plan another longish run this afternoon which will probably appear about friday 😂😂😂

Having given up and deauthorized Strava and swapped to mapmyrun all my tech issues floated away into the distance. All three of my runs were there within seconds of saving them on mapmyrun. That said only my true distance is showing which is a shame as a screenshot of double distances would have been a hoot to send to my ultra running son!

I am using Mapmyrun and so far I have not had any problems with it whatsoever, I have ran 3 runs so far and they have all shown on that list within 30 minutes or less, no double runs as well.

If you have already done this go to strava and click on your profile then go to settings .

Then click on privacy controls

Then click on activities and make sure you activities are seen by ' Everyone '

Sometimes it does take a bit longer to show. Did you check your privacy settings on strava

The more replies I read the worse it gets! I’ve run again this morning since I posted this, and it’s doubled up again. I don’t want to delete a tracker, as then they may disappear altogether. It seems like a right mess!

I’ve always used Strava, but when i read about the issues with Strava I also started using Mapmyrun, just in case, which I think a lot of people have done.

Thank you for your reply. I use Garmin Connect. I sent a message to the Running World Cup folk and they apologised and asked me to add the runs manually. Just finished 3 hours of teaching, so haven't tried yet. Will perhaps try after dinner, but I have some lines to learn for tomorrow morning. One thing at a time. 😊

The start date was the 5th of march for the qualifying run.

Check your privacy settings on strava and garmin. If it says only you can see you will need to change it to everyone. Hope this helps 😊

I hope they (VRWC) manage to sort out the run tracking issues otherwise it devalues the whole thing. They do appear to have a number of issues. When I was using both the app and the web versions I noticed that changes to my names in the profile section were not synchronised between the two versions which is a pretty fundamental bug in IT terms.

I gave up on it and deleted the App. I have Health Insurance and can link my GPS watch to an app so as to track my activities on the app. However it is not at all accurate. I only use Garmin Connect and Strava now.

It’s really strange, I run Strava from my phone (no watch or any other device) and it seems to upload instantly and with the correct distance each time. I must be one of the lucky ones!
