I have started training for 10k run in may. I try to run 2x weekly on treadmill and Park run weekly .
I have managed 10k on treadmill a couple of times but average between 7 and 8k. But the pain in my knee has stopped me this week. It is getting better but I could still feel some pain this morning when on treadmill so aborted my run 😑

Oh no, rest, ice, elevate. Listen to the pain and get help from a sports physio if it doesn't ease you dont want to end up on IC. May is still a while away and you have already mastered 10k so unless you "need "to get a super fast time there is no point pushing yourself too hard. Take care
What distances are you running each time? You could be doing too much. Are you warming up and stretching afterwards?
Also once you start increasing distance you need to do some cross training to strength the running body. Strong glutes and core will take pressure off your knees....
