My second dog induced (well, irresponsible owner induced) running injury, but I’m not letting it take the shine off my achievement! I really never would have believed I could do this. April last year I was a proper couch potato having done no exercise for over two years. I hated running at school and I was always last. Now I love it and I’m the fittest I’ve ever been, still not fast but I’m super happy with my 1 hour 12 minutes time.
Going to have a cheeky Creme Egg as a reward 😋

Don’t fret about the time - that was almost exactly mine. Just bask in the glow of having done it. Every 13,000 steps or so. How long ago was it that you would have laughed if someone had told you you’d run 10km?

Hope you're ok after the dog bite? That really isn't good 😠 and is such a shame as most dog owners (certainly where I live) seem to be pretty responsible!
Thanks, it was a shame as I met lots of other lovely dog owners on my run. This was a couple of youngish girls with about 12 dogs between them, a dog walking service I suspect. They needed a higher people to dogs ratio or they shouldn’t have let them off the leads.
I’m fine now, can hardly feel it, my hips and knee joints are complaining about the pounding I gave them though! 😁
Massive congratulations on that run, well deserved creme egg. I think your time is fantastic- for me any 10k in less than 1 1/4 is my target.

Thank you, I realised soon after that I should have got their details but I was so surprised that I didn’t think to at the time. My husband was taking my 2 year old for a walk only a couple of miles away too.
