50 minutes!

Well that’s week 4 of magic 10 done with quite a few personal bests this week. The 50 minute run this morning was very slow but a bit easier than last weeks 44 minutes. My 30 minute run was a lot easier and quite a bit faster this week, not sure if I enjoy the longer running length yet but I’ll persevere and hope that it gets easier 🙂

Happy running everybody

Tim

Good run for you today, you also come from New Zealand, so does lexi6, I am also doing JuJu's Magic 10, still to run the 50 minute run but it will have to be delayed as I am running 30 minutes next Thursday as part of the Vitality Running World Cup, I will have to run at least 3 kilometers in 30 minutes to qualify, I am fairly confident I will do that as I usually run 5K on average in 33 minutes. 😊 🏃🏾

I come from Yorkshire originally, I’m just an interloper with the colonials 😀

I’m signed up for the World Cup also and should easily manage the first round.

Good luck!

This VRWC is to do with a country and team on how many kilometers the team members can run, rather than speed, I would suppose if team members can run 10K or more that country will progress to the next round, to be honest I am not sure how the rules are after you qualify on running at least 3K in 30 minutes.

I’m ok once I get running, I’ve started to be more affected by the toxic 10 than I used to be but just run through it. I was actually doing ok until the last 10 minutes which were tough. I listen to a good selection of podcasts which really help.

I had terrible music this morning but just kept going and the longer i ran the longer i wanted to run the rain was getting worse and worse though and was soaked when i got home, i just go really really slow for the first 10 minutes

Keep on keeping on! More importantly enjoy it.. repeat runs or weeks if necessary... you don’t have to do it in a set time. Take the pressure off! You are getting physically fitter with each run even one that doesn’t hit the target.. & mentally stronger when you do hit the target..no matter how long it took!

You are stronger than you think!!! Well done on the PB’s

Next week is the same as this week, ‘I’m following the plan to the letter and I feel great but the long runs really take it out of me and I feel tired all day, maybe I should do the longer runs in the evening 😊
