Wow...it has taken me a long time to get off that damned injury bench!
It turns out that the twanged ligament was a slipped disc L5/S1 π« My left leg lost all feeling so I couldnβt tell when my foot touched the ground...very inconvenient for trotting!
I stayed in touch with running by volunteering at parkrun...I became a very skilled timekeeper and results processor! Fast forward 3 years and I was talked into being a run director...great fun and a great community....but I was still frustrated at my inability to trot, plus the fact that I was becoming exceedingly round!
Fast forward again...I have just re-graduated from C25K and have found my Cheshire Cat grin again....my back is now stronger than ever and that roundness is starting to shrink.
Happy days are here again...now for that bridge to 10k......

Hello LadyHelen, πit's wonderful to hear you are back running and have re-graduated the c25k program. I expect there were times during your long recovery when you struggled to think you would be back, and now you are ready to begin your journey to 10k.
Ju Ju's Magic 10 plan is a great way to get there!
What a joy after 4 years!! Amazing Lady!! All that volunteering!! Well done & what an example, inspiration & encouragement to all on the injury couch!! Thanks for sharing your story!! X
