I wasn't planning on running today until I saw the abysmal forecast for tomorrow. π§π¬ I set off, reluctantly and slowly, uphill and into the wind. I almost gave up at 3k, but told myself that I would settle into the run and if all my VRBs can keep going then I can too! So I did..
It was worth it, I completed my longest ever run at 14k and knocked 2 minutes and 7 seconds off my 10k PB. I even enjoyed it! I'm hoping to get to 10 miles by the end of March and maybe I will be ready for the Liverpool Rock and Roll half marathon at the end of May? π€ please keep up all your encouraging and inspiring posts. π

Fantastic run. Sounds like the best idea to do it pre storm. Its amazing we all keep going. I'm sure it's this forum helping us all believe in ourselves and building resilience. Happy running
Brilliant job CSTN, very nearly there ππ, it's strange how the 1st few K can seem like more of a struggle than than the last few...as you say, you just have to slog on until (if you're lucky) you settle into it.
Great sense of achievement when you've ignored your gremlins then end up having an awesome run ππββοΈ
