For the first time this year I went to my favourite 'rural run route' early this morning, its about a 15 minute drive away but worth it. Its the route of a disused railway line and stretches from Northampton to Market Harborough, a total distance of about 15 miles I believe. Continuing my steady return after a month off sick I did a rather messy, slippy and very muddy 6k and really enjoyed it. All my running gear is in the washing machine and now I have to clean and scrub my running shoes, thats the only downside, the cleanup . . . happy running everybody.
Muddy but good . . . : For the first time this... - Bridge to 10K
Muddy but good . . .
Sounds like you had a great time. Something nice about calling yourself a runner in winter and doing muddy runs. Who'd have thought. Happy running
How wonderful to be running again after a month off sick & a good 6K’s today too. You are making fantastic progress. 👍☔️😄
"6k and really enjoyed it." Sounds really good to me! Well done to you! 😊🏃🏻
Great you're feeling better orangeguy and what a run you had .
I'd never had a muddy run before until a few weeks ago at parkrun, so much muck and puddles and I ran through them all. Something very exciting about it or it's just me.
Are you ready to do it all again ?😊
sounds perfect, well done
Lovely - sounds like my kind of run! Well done🙂
Its certainly is my preferred running route, out in countryside, no traffic, no people, yes I know I'm anti social! It just means a drive in the car and then washing my running gear and shoes afterwards. All of which means I have been taking the easy option of running around the local park which is only about 1k away, much more time efficient but certainly not so enjoyable
