Another muddy 5km.

I hadn't run in my local woods for a while as it's been horribly muddy recently. But I have been missing my regular route so this morning I decided to brave the mud and go see if conditions are a bit less squelchy now. They aren't! But it felt good to be back in the woods and for the boggiest bits, I just picked my way through very carefully and managed to stay upright! There was even a bit of sunshine and blue sky to admire and marvel at. 😂

Mud mud glorious mud. Glad you got back to your regular happy route. I too found mud when I foolishly decided to use a truckers car park as my turnaround spot, sure it wasnt as bad as yours but yuck, not nice. Happy running

Pesky trucks making a mess of your route! It's the logging vehicles in the woods that churn it all up and leave huge ruts so you have to balance on a narrow strip of slippery mud, trying not to fall into the puddles on either side! It's doing wonders for my ability to balance, I'm not a natural gymnast I must admit. 😂

🤣🤣 my local woods at home had signs up last time I ran there advising logging was about to begin, I know it’s essential but as you say, what a mess they leave behind.

It's OK running in those conditions if you have trail shoes, not proper running shoes, nevertheless that was a good run for you today Debston.

In April to celebrate two years since I began C25K and one year since I bought proper running shoes I am thinking of going to the shop I bought them and buy some other running wear including trail shoes.

I always wear trail shoes AlMorr, but even so, there was some slipping and sliding today! Frustrating when you're trying your hardest to run up a muddy hill and it feels like one step forward and two steps back... 😂 I think a pair of trail shoes would be a perfect way to celebrate your two year runniversary.

The temperature has definitely dropped this evening, think it'll be frosty in the morning. Enjoy your days off and happy running!

I did a bit of parkrun tourism last weekend and ran through mud and puddles. I brought my dirty runners away with work to Amsterdam and ran through mud and puddles over here. The wet stormy climate is here too.

Well done on getting out running.
