Great return to parkruns this week, with my fastest ever time in trail shoes, and fastest 5k for a couple of months. It felt really good. I had been a little concerned as I hadn’t done a parkrun for 3 weeks, and didn’t do any running at all for a week.
Northala is really nice, and although you don’t actually run up the mounds (hills created from Wembley Stadium building rubble), you do run around them which involves a certain amount of climb. Course is entirely tarmac and gravel path - no grass! The trail shoes meant I could just run through the puddles where others were dodging them into the mud either side.
Not sure where to next. There were a lot of events cancelled because of the weather, but hopefully things will settle down now, and Spring will happen.

Just goes to show, how the longer runs strengthen us up for the 5k. Just curious, has every one of the 27 been at a different parkrun venue? You've done some serious parkrun tourism.
