According to the local forecast Ciara was on break this morning, so I thought I would take advantage and sneak in a gentle 11K
My "cunning plan" to run 10K sub 60 is run a gentle 15K on Monday mornings, and a faster 10K on Fridays. (And a "normal" 5K on Wednesdays)
Started out nice today, but Ciara found her voice on the back straight and roared at me good and proper. Still I managed the 11k (rounded it up to 7 miles - cultivating a bad habit so when I run 15K it will probably get rounded up to 10 miles! 😁). Furthest I have run yet, and surprisingly a new PB for the 10K - though only by a few seconds.
Ciara got her revenge on my walk home. I must have looked quite a sight walking along in short sleeves with my hands on my head to protect it from the freezing rain! 🤣😎

Thanks Gtb. I do love a cunning plan. Looking at the Garmin report it was 12 degrees and sunny when I started running and I was too hot. then Ciara did her stuff. Down here it sometimes seems we get all the seasons in one day!
Congratulations on your new pb. No short sleeves here today . I did go out and according to garmin 1 degree and 50mph winds and I had large snowflakes coming down but the actual run was great.
Thanks Buddy. Your weather sounds picturesque - snow is so rare down here! I'm sure I don't know where these distance targets are going to end - as soon as I reach one, another longer one seems attractive ... 😂
Wow, well done for braving the weather and getting a PB. I went out for a run this evening, a nice easy 5K. Howling winds, sleet and snow. It was a hard evening for wearing shorts. 😀
5K was more than enough for me, I wasn’t brave enough to double that.
