After buying me a preloved Garmin 230 three weeks ago - literally - in the belief it was a 235, he came home last night with an actual 235 π₯° in aqua! So very me, that it even matched my jumper last night π And because it has a different style of strap it feels much lighter on my wrist.
Heβs disappeared off up the M25 to go to a job interview this morning, so I am sitting here setting them both up so he can wear the 230 as a watch. He doesnβt even run! I will find the Walk App though and show him how to install it, and maybe set up a step challenge for the 2 of us, as that might motivate him to get out of the truck for a few more walks (at least until the novelty wears off).
In other news, my ankle is feeling much better with only a very small amount of swelling still remaining, so long dog walks are taking place, along with some very basic physio - standing on one leg etc. and I picked up a balance cushion the other day that Iβm keeping in the kitchen so I can use it several times a day, while waiting for the kettle to boil. The kitchen is also where Iβm keeping a kettlebell for the same reason.
Iβve arranged to go out with my friend D for a short and gentle run next Tuesday morning, and after that Iβll see how it goes.
There is an inaugural Canicross race locally on 1st March that I am determined to go to even if I have to walk it, so Iβm definitely going to take things easy.

How lovely! So romantic π Mr IP bought me my Garmin years ago for Valentines Day and I still love it! I hope you have many happy miles with yours πββοΈπ
Glad to hear the ankle is improving. Iβm sure your physio has told you this but with any ankle injuries itβs really important to stretch the calves regularly as they tighten up with ankle issues.
Good to hear your ankle is healing, itβs taken a while
What a great garmin, and you know the novelty might not wear off for your husband, Colin barely moved before i got him a cheap fitbit type wristband and now he moves around a lot more every day just to get his steps up
