Any of them will do pace dist time. Vivo and 245 are newer so displays may be a bit sharper but the 235 is a great watch too but does not have a swim mode to my knowledge, whereas I think the other 2 do, so depends how important that is to you.

I bought my wife a 245 Music as an early Christmas present, it's got loads of features included with it and hold about 4hours worth of music, the fact it synchs with Spotify and can download playlists is a plus.

I personally have a 735XT, its great but it's a couple of years old now and I'm looking at the Fenix 6.

Having done my own search recently I realised that finding a watch that does both running and swimming really bumps the price up. There’s quite a range of prices if you just want running but not for both activities. In the end I went for the Vivoactive 3 and while I have nothing to compare it against, it seems to do what I want it to. For swimming, it doesn’t tell you how many lengths you’ve done but you can put in how long your pool is and it then tells you how far in total you swam, avg stroke time, etc. Hope this helps!

I love my 235 too. Wish I'd bought it sooner. But yep no swimming. I just manual add lengths/distance and time afterwards. Happy shopping

No idea about the 235 but I have had the Vivoactive 3 for 18 months and I love it. It does swimming but I don’t (much!) so haven’t used it for that (stupidly I always take it off when I go in the shower, too). Great watch! X

I always purchase something to do the job that I need done. If I’m not running marathons and triathlons, ultra marathons and Ironman competitions what watch will do the job that I need for 5K, 10K, walking and working as an activity tracker. So I went for a Garmin 35 and it is perfect for what I want. My first GPS watch was a Garmin Forerunner 15 which I bought second hand for £20 on eBay. I only upgraded to the 35 as I wanted an everyday watch to wear, whereas I only wore the 15 when running as it was too bulky as an everyday watch.

But then again don’t listen to me. I still have an iPhone 5 because it does everything I need a phone to do and it is 6 years old.

I have the 235 and it works well. Doesn't to swimming but that's not important for me also works well as my every day watch.

I have Vivoactive 3 with music so I can l listen to guided runs from a podcast. Also it is waterproof. Very happy with it, does everything I want it to. Bought from Argos

I will definitely have a look at both and that will be better as no phone needed all depending on price difference 😉👍
