Il let you know in a few days! Just been to get new trainers and had a gait analysis so I am very much looking forward to trying out my new shoes! Man in shop said they should ease the knee pain I’m getting so I hope so! Never knew shoes could be so comfy!

Thanks, I'm getting a bit of knee ache/pain. That's why I asked.

It will be really interesting to hear from you again in a few weeks . 😊😊

Hi Buddy34, I got my gait analysis at Run4it at 57 Bothwell St Glasgow after graduating from C25K, in fact it was 9 months after graduation when I was getting aches and pains running in normal trainers, after the gait analysis I was recommended the running shoes I now have and socks to match, since then I have ran 14 Parkruns, many other 5Ks and 4/10Ks without any aches or pains whatsoever.

Yes Buddy , I was about 4 runs post graduation when my knee became a real problem.

Sports physio, treatment, gait analysis and Hoka Arahi. Touch wood, no knee issues since (about 18 months ago)

Hope your knee issues get sorted 😘

Do look at the knee strengthening exercises on the nhs site Buddy. As we extend distance we need to do a bit more strength work, or check out Oldfloss’s strength and flex forum.

Thanks. I've got the nhs knee strengthening exercises on an app 😊

Not especially. I got it done because I needed (or should i say wanted) some new trainers.

However, the aching muscles which I just thought was part of running, did subside quite a lot.

I cant say it down to gait analysis, it could be. Or it could be simply because I bought a much better quality of trainer.

Hi buddy, I did when I got to about week 3 on c25k. Made huge difference to calf’s and shin splints and knees

Yes I had a gait analysiswhich helped stopped my ankle pain and bruises -I over pronate so I need men’s and size bit bigger than ones I had and they are wide and the careful gait analysis had completely enabled me to run completely bruise free ! highly recommended-

Yeah I did. The week before I started running last August. Didn't realise I needed it. I was staying away & ordered breakfast in a pub. I'd seen a running shop the night before on next block & so I thought "I'll just nip & buy a pair of runners". The saleswoman filmed me running on a treadmill! Was a bit late for brekkie!

I had a slight pain in my knee which eased after getting my gait analysis done and getting support shoes. I thought I would always need to run with a knee support but haven’t needed any support on it from about a week after the new shoes :)

Yes, I was at week 3 or 4 and was constantly differencing pain in either my ankle or knee in the 24 hours after a run. I went and had gait analysis done and updated my trainers – since then no pains whatsoever – hurray!

Yes. I was getting twinges in my right knee and left hip when I started going beyond 10k. Stopped when I got the right shoes!

Yes, a few runs after C25K graduation. I still ache a bit but I'm a certain age. Essentially the right trainers after gait analysis have sorted it. Really should do more strength work though...

Yes, I was getting pain in my left ankle and calf. I went for gait analysis which recommended a shoe with more support and I haven't had the issue since. Definitely worthwhile!
