I just wanted to share that yesturday I passed the 3 year milestone of running every day. It has been quite a journey, and I know there are mixed views about the benefits/ dangers of doing this, so I am not here to encourage you to do it, rather I wanted to share my success and a few statisticals.
So in the 3 years I have...
Climbed Mount Everest the equivalent of 6 times
Burned 340,726 calories
Got through 3 pairs of running shoes ( I wear them to the absolute death)
Covered 2950 miles
Smeared myself with 2 family packs of Bodyglide- not all at once
Experienced every weather system except a tornado
Ran in knee high snow ( my son and I approached it antelope style)
Ran in 3 different countries, and up and down the UK from Leeds to Penzance
Most importantly- I have LOVED every minute of it. I have found my sanctuary and therapy in the form of running. It keeps me safe, it makes me feel strong and powerful, and it gives me a purpose every day. I am not looking for PB's or distance goals, but to continue to enjoy my daily adventure with a strong and able body for as long as I can.
Happy Panthering

This is so impressive, ju-ju, and a true testament to how much you love running. Such commitment! And a way to celebrate feeling fit and strong. 👍
I often feel amazing after short runs, and am starting to ponder whether I should try a mini streak of short runs sometime this year...the idea of running a mile every morning appeals to me. I always seem to hurt something when I attempt long distances! 😱
Thats a great plan... I have done alot of 1 milers and they are fab for just getting out, establishing a routine and enjoying nature etc... why dont you give it a try?
That’s absolutely amazing! I am in awe that you can do this - and even though I’m sure I will never run that much, it still inspires me to do more in my own (smaller scale) way. I love that it makes you feel strong and powerful - here’s to many more years of that! 👏🏻🏃🏻♀️👏🏻
I loved reading your panthering posts when I started C25K some years ago. You were an inspiration then and you continue to inspire me (and so many others). Amazing to know you have run every day for 3 years. Truly amazing. Go girl! Or should that be panther on Ju-Ju!
All the best for the year ahead. And may you continue to inspire. 😘🏃♀️
You're a true ambassador for running Ju-ju. Such an inspiration! Your dedication is amazing. We all share this love of running, but it actually works on so many different levels, in so many different ways - so easy to tailor to individual likes and dislikes - no wonder it's so popular 🙂
That is a hell of a lot of washing loads ju-ju-! You have given me an idea. I could try a short run every other day when I am walking Molly on the beach. We can both get a bit of fitness work in. She would get bored before 5k I think, but it doesn't matter if it is intended to be a short extra jog. Worth a try 👍
It works! She was diverted fairly frequently by people she likes to visit, but hey, it’s her walk! We got a bit of jogging in; a nice loosener for me after a long run the previous day.👍
That’s impressive juju. Keep it up if you can. I am far too old now for daily running to make any sense at all, but wonder what I would be able to do now if only I had exercised regularly at an earlier age. A good investment, methinks.
So good, and I don't want to minimise your incredible achievement by asking if you always run with your lippy on, but you look so damn glamorous on all your pictures I feel I need to know 😘💄💋
That's beautiful, ju-ju. How soon into your 'journey' did you make it a daily practice? I'm itching to run more days but I keep telling myself to be patient. I started with C25k at the end of August.
I dabbled with it about a year into my running and then built it up. I have been running for over 6 nears now, so it would have been 3 years in that I properly started. Its just a case of building up gradually to get your body ready
I love this, congratulations! It struck a cord when you mentioned a strong and able body, that’s the difference working on your body to be healthy, not coming from a place of vanity or self hate but self love and looking after yourself. You’re an inspiration thank you ☺️
No I am just careful and do a lot of strength and yoga. In the first year I had an injury and saw a sports osteopath who kept me going and supported what I was doing. I did lots of 1 milers and got my ankles really strong. That seemed to do the trick but I am careful not to up my speed or distance too much...
Sounds very sensible - would love to have a go (one day).. gotta stick to every other day at the minute.. maybe when I get a little more time.. well done again.
Congratulations, you are such an inspiration to us all.
I have followed you on Strava through most days of your epic journey, and follow your stats most days.
You can run fast or slow, on hills or flat, through mud and field, but most importantly and impressively, through whatever weather is thrown at you. Most of us use the weather as an excuse not to get out, but not you. And your daily photograph is often a joy to some of us!
Wow that is seriously impressive. I run several days in a row over xmas and kept it either low HR or small distance but i did need a break after 5 days.
