It was on Radio 4 earlier today and the News just now - marathon training and running is good for you, especially older folk. Yippee!!

Yes I agree, injury yourself like I did and the health people gave me bit of advice...don,t you think it's time you stopped running. Well at 72 I will run again and as soon as possible.

It’s weird - I thought my P’s were old at 65 - but heaven help anyone who suggests that I am!!

Well...as my Nan had a new step ladder for cleaning the top windows in our Victorian house, when she was 80...I think young at heart may be in my Gene's....I hope so..

I remember my grandpa at the age I am now always sitting in front of the telly, feet up and always smoking a pipe, then again that was in the mid 1950's,

By my age, my mum had had a heart attack and suffered from angina, the discomfort from which more or less confined her to the house. She never understood why I felt it necessary to push myself through everything I did. Sadly she isn’t here to see me now, but maybe she would understand.
