Have been struggling for a few months (illness and post holiday blues) and had a bit of a self pity fest to say the least, going on Down Under. So after a kick up the butt am running again and have my first 10k “race” booked in February, which is exciting although a little daunting, (all those thousands of people!)
Sadly, we lost a very good friend, two nights before Christmas who had a massive stroke, just gone in an instant.
Thank you for the reminder William, I am very grateful.
Happy New Year and Happy Running to everyone and to those on the IC hope you’re back on your feet very soon. Kia Kaha xx

Hello lexi, I’m sorry to hear that life has been tough for you since your UK trip and of the sudden loss of your friend before Christmas. Losing your uncle while you were here probably set things off. But hopefully while you think of the passing of 2019 you will also remember the wonderful times you spent with VRBs on your visit, and how much you enjoyed those parkruns.
Happy New Year to you Lexi, and I hope 2020 will bring you much happiness. Well done on entering that race in February ; you’ll do brilliantly.
Thanks Dexy the meet ups with VRBs and UK parkruns really kept me going to be honest and looking back at the parkrun photos ❤️ is such a reminder of happy times. I really hope I can make it back to the UK again one day. Looking forward to 2020 and as I haven’t been to a parkrun since Wilmslow its time to start again so off to our local one tomorrow and as long as I don’t get a DNF will be happy. Happy New Year to you and UTS too xx
Sorry to hear about your friend. Carry your best memories of them with you on your next run and celebrate life. Give those you love the best an extra hug. Happy running and a happy healthy new year
So sorry to hear about your friend. Something like that does make you appreciate how precious life is. Wishing you and Mr Lexi a very happy 2020 and happy running xxx
Thanks Baddie, he was a lovely, funny man and a great storyteller, just a one off really. Heading to parkrun this morning, its been a while since Wilmslow, so it won’t be a fast one. Hope you’re back up running soon, it can’t be easy in a UK winter. 🤞 xx
Thank you so much BBr. 2020 started for me with a New Years Day parkrun here this morning. Loving my “rosy” cheeks again 🍅 Love being part of this running family ❤️ Happy New Year XXx
