As I just started at 57 I guess 5 decades out of the question. However I am in my 5th decade of skiing ⛷ does that count? Happy running and happy new year
A but with global warming I don’t get much skiing now just a week abroad but it’s pretty full on and I’ll be interested to see affect this year after running.
I went skiing last February, a year after starting c25k and I couldn’t believe how much difference my new found fitness made. At high altitude in the Rockies too. You are going to love it Grannytobe. ⛷🏃♀️⚡️
What a wonderful achievement givman, that’s a phenomenal amount of time. You’re right, long may it continue - I just wish I discovered it decades ago myself!
Hey well done to you and I love your attitude in that you are not too old for running and that you get old because you stop. I'm a power walker and absolutely love it, nothing is going to stop me.
Hmm, think you might be right although mine is power walking, I did a good pace up a very steep hill today so was chuffed with that. I love pushing myself.😊😉
Yep, as Al Morr suggested, my first race was probably a school sports day in 1961 sometime close to my 10th birthday, and I’ve never really stopped running for fitness - but only occasionally competitively until parkrun came my way 5 years ago. Good, innit?
