A but with global warming I don’t get much skiing now just a week abroad but it’s pretty full on and I’ll be interested to see affect this year after running.

I started at school, teachers took us every weekend, second nature when you’ve been doing it that long I’m so lucky, but now I’ve found running yay

I went skiing last February, a year after starting c25k and I couldn’t believe how much difference my new found fitness made. At high altitude in the Rockies too. You are going to love it Grannytobe. ⛷🏃‍♀️⚡️

What a wonderful achievement givman, that’s a phenomenal amount of time. You’re right, long may it continue - I just wish I discovered it decades ago myself!

Happy running in 2020 to you. 😀

Happy new year!!

Hey well done to you and I love your attitude in that you are not too old for running and that you get old because you stop. I'm a power walker and absolutely love it, nothing is going to stop me.

Have a lovely New Year. :)

Your as crazy about running as me !!😄

in reply togivman

Hmm, think you might be right although mine is power walking, I did a good pace up a very steep hill today so was chuffed with that. I love pushing myself.😊😉

I love that saying. Sadly I didn’t start running until I got to 60 - all those years wasted. I’m making up for it now though and just love it.

Yep, as Al Morr suggested, my first race was probably a school sports day in 1961 sometime close to my 10th birthday, and I’ve never really stopped running for fitness - but only occasionally competitively until parkrun came my way 5 years ago. Good, innit?
