My short runs for JuJu's Magic Plan have been terrible recently. In fact, I have hardly been able to finish most of them for 2-3 weeks now. I have been completing 3.5k instead of 4k, 4k instead of 5k, etc. Then came Week 5 when I only managed 3.5 of the 5k I was meant to do. I felt so awful at the lack of progress in increasing the weekly mileage that I repeated the 5k and will finally start Week 6 tomorrow.
It seems the problem for me started when I tried to run the weekly 5k AFTER the long run and tire myself out more than I expected. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Sorry to hear about your struggle. Are you going to fast, trying to run without enough rest days, got too many other things going on in your life. Try to give yourself a break and celebrate what you are actually doing. Maybe take a rest from the plan for a few weeks and just go for a run with no demands on time or distance. Good luck take care
Thank you, that's great advice! I think I put too much pressure on myself in sticking with the plan. I've since gone off piste, so to speak, and is running better.
You're doing great , don't be so tough on yourself. The magic plan is 8 weeks, you can take longer if you need to ,to complete it. Like c25k your body needs time to complete each run and you're going for even longer now. Good luck and just keep going 🎅🎅🎅
Thank you very much Buddy. I sometimes forget that I'm not as young as I once was and need more time to recover. It's been 2 weeks since the post and I haven't finished the plan or run 10k yet, but I do feel a bit stronger and can see myself running 10k in another 2 weeks or so
