Went out to do my 4km run and stopped at 3km.... the damp and cold air really had an impact on my breathing even though I was going at a steady pace.
Going to do my 9km run on Thursday all going well so hopefully the weather will be a little better

The weather can affect your runs, dampness, heat or cold, check out the weather forecast the evening before you intend to run, I know there are some people who will run in any weather, but most like I do like to run when there is no extreme weather forecast, either lashing rain, too low or high temperature or high wind.
It really is bitterly cold where I am, do take care in those temperatures as you head out for your long run.
Sensible plan, another option is to slow down and nose breathe as it has more of a chance of getting warmer...
