Winter Parkrunning

Well did my usual parkrun in Hull yesterday morning

It was chilly and the numbers were down this week due to weather Xmas etc

Still got round ok and the coffee and toast went down well afterwards!

I ran at a parkrun yesterday too. It was very chilly 🥶. But I was well warmed up after 2k. I was away at my parents house for the weekend at a pre-Christmas family get together. It was a perfect opportunity for my wife and I to go together, which is very rare. We even took advantage of the free babysitting service to go for a post parkrun breakfast together. Yum 😋

Well done. At my parkrun numbers have been down too, usually I have another 30 people behind me, now I’m closer to the end haha 😂

In January numbers will double as all the new year resolutions come out in force only to dwindle back to normal numbers in February. I am proud to say the I was once one of those New Years resolution wonders, but not anymore. 😀

Hardcore now! All weather park runner. There is a badge for that on the google chrome extension

I got my badge 2 weeks ago. I’d never ran in December. I’ve ran twice already at parkrun this month. I’ve another 3 to go including Christmas Day. 😀

-3 out just now, I suffer in cold running - brings on an almost mild hypothermia, one run ended up fully clothed in bed for 40mins with hot drinks, bottles etc to reheat. So runs have become short and intermittent. May get out later in day but being so far north our days are very cold and short. Happy running

Edit. Got out for just short of 7.4 In blink of sun before snow started. Yay 😀👍
