Not been out for a run all week so I was chomping at the bit to get out this morning!
Last week I did something I've never done before where my husband dropped me off in no man's land and I ran all the way home! That was fun! π... Today I did something else I've never done before and that is walk out the front door and start running! I know! Nothing unusual there for most people π But the plan today was to run from my house and up into the hills. Then when I felt like I'd had enough I could ring my husband to come and pick me up π Well that was the plan! But as you know not everything always goes to plan π
So there I am happily running, not quite sure how far I'd gone but that wasn't an issue... Running, running, running! Looked up, OMG! There's an Eagle! Just hovering about 10ft above my head! Quick! Get the phone out! Took a quick photo and then he swooped off and down the hill! As I carried on I saw 2 more! Well I think they were eagles? Please correct me if I'm wrong π€
Anyway... I'd got to the point where I thought I'd run a fair distance but didn't want to run much further as I'd not run all week, so phoned my husband for a lift home π± NO SIGNAL! Oooops! Forgot about that! Oh well, I'll just turn around and run the same way back and if I get tired I'll ring him again. The way home is pretty much all down hill so I managed to run all the way home.
Husband : You weren't out very long! Are you ok?
Me : I feel great! Couldn't get a signal to call you. I saw an Eagle (and burst into tears... again!)
What is wrong with me!? Maybe running the longest distance I've ever run and seeing and Eagle may have had some bearing on it π 17.95k! That's over 10 Miles! And the time was....91 minutes! βΊοΈπ€ͺπ±
Off to see my son play in 2 concerts tomorrow! Haven't seen him since going back to uni in September! π₯°
Have a fab weekend everyone! xxxx

What an amazing couple of runs youβve had, I was wondering what was going to go wrong though - oops, signals in hills not good. Amazing distance, great speed.
Thank you Grannyhugs β€οΈ I feel quite good in the leg department, which is a suprise, maybe I'll feel it tomorrow! Still a bit emotional as I'm baking a cake π x
Wow! Thatβs a great Running story, and seeing eagles too. Thatβs special. Sometimes I feel the universe just comes together for me when Iβm out running, hard to explain but it can be emotional, completely understood x
Whoosh! An amazing run. π And beautiful photo too. ππΌ A complete triumph - I was going to say βexcept for the phone signalβ, but then that led to the fab run distance. So no exceptions at all. A fabulous run. πππ
Amazing run, I am in awe of you being able to run so far! I think that the bird is a Red Kite, you did well to get such a good photo of it, they are very fast and agile flyers as well as being very beautiful!
Love reading your post your an absolute inspiration! Wow what an amazing πββοΈ .. you always make it sound so wonderful ππ I can only dream of being like you π€£
Well done you! Your being doing the London marathon next πββοΈπββοΈ
Wow Ali, what a great run and how wonderful to see eagles. Stunning photo. Iβm not surprised you felt emotional. Your progress has been stratospheric and inspiring. Enjoy the concerts and time with your son. I saw mine today for the first time in s few months. The hug will keep me going for a while - or at least until I see him tomorrow. X
