Completed week 2 with a 3K tonight. Took it fairly easy and fairly flat except for the long steep downhill section.
Usually I step out and make use of the decline to pick up the pace, but tonight I hit a few wet leaves, slipping and sliding down the hill. How I managed to keep upright I've no idea. I did however clash my ankles together which hurt like mad, but fortunately it didn't take too long to run that off. I must confess though, it shook me up a little - I really don't fancy hitting the deck and having to limp or crawl back home.
Be careful out there people, the terrain you're used to may not be the same now the weather's turned wet and cold.

I sympathise! I dragged Mr marmalade out with me for my 3k along our potholed lane last night which also has a steep camber. We left our two Norfolk Terriers snoozing by the fire looking at us as if we were mad! Even with the head torch it was tricky going and a sharp breeze with a steady downpour didn’t help. Like you I did it though (and so did Mr m 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻) . Onwards to Week 3!
