Went out early, plenty of cloud cover and I'm back in Brisbane, so it's 3 or 4 deg cooler anyway. Ran 5km, was feeling good so continued. Got lost so asked Google Maps the way back. It sent me across a main road (that's funny, I have no memory of crossing a main road on the way out) then up a steep hill. I got to the roundabout at the top of the hill and the road name I was looking for did not exist...! Hmm, checked Google Maps again and found that good ole Google had got confused! I now had to run back down the hill, back across the main road, and up the hill on the opposite side. 7.5 km, may as well do 8km! Feeling very hot and sweaty but happy to get back up to 8km. Photo is from the TOP of the hill.
Flying home tomorrow so this is the last Australian happy face 🙃

Good run Baddie, shame about the navigation! Your phone was probably looking at things upside down. You sound to have a great time in Oz, but with an extra layer or two, I am sure you will adapt very quickly to being back among us. No redback spiders, massive snakes, man eating sharks or sabre toothed mozzies here to worry about...so not all bad news. Hope the journey isn't too bad (I find long flights really boring).🚀😊😊
I sometimes feel a bit silly turning a tracking app on when I’m in civilisation (rather than on trails) but even if they fail they can normally give you a vague idea of the direction you need to go.
Gday! Good 8k run. You were not lost, you were ‘exploring’. I was in Sydney last year and went exploring in the same way. It’s nice to run somewhere different. Getting lost just adds to the adventure.
Happy return journey, hope you get some good movies, lots of sleep and fly business class!
