Edinburgh 10k day. Slightly drizzly at the start but otherwise dry and mild, if overcast. Spectacular views (not that I took much time to see them). A grandstand finish in Murrayfield Stadium and, a new PB of 1:03:49.

Was a little bit disheartening to see the one hour pacer slowly, but inexorably pull away from me, but that's a target for another year.

Legs feeling just a little weary, but I can't really blame them.

Next target; a local 5k Santa Run in December and possibly the Edinburgh Kilomathon in April. For now though, it's back to my local paths and pavements and the rugby pitches of Edinburgh.

Congratulations on completing the Edinburgh Men's 10K, that is a very good time, don't worry about the 1 hour pacer pull away from you, now go and celebrate 🎉.

Congratulations and great job. That 1 hour will come... next time this run comes around you’ll have a lot more running in your legs.

Trying to plan my spring and looking at HM in March with another in May... that kilomarathon is tempting as it would slot between the others perfectly.

Well done, that's a great time. I took part in this too and knocked 5 seconds off my PB and finished with 1:11:19. Once I recovered from the long uphill through the Grassmarket my speed picked up and I finished with 3 very fast for me kilometres. It was a really enjoyable run with a great finish at Murrayfield and almost perfect weather.

Yes, the bit from the Grassmarket up to Lady Lawson Street was the bit where I decided I needed a brief walk and where the 1 hour pacer finally disappeared out of view. It was tantalising for a while, but I'm delighted with my time. I hope you are with yours too.
